Daihatsu Coure / Perodua Kelisa Rear Brake Drum Service


Release hand brake , gear in third position or P positon and hard block behind the front wheel before you jack the car.Use two stands to support rear body. It is a must to adjust hand brake level.

Remove wheel.

Remove the pin and nut sized 19mm.

Hardest part. If you are lucky, you can remove the drum by hand or gently hammer equally to the drum. 
Special tool to remove stuck drum.
                                
Removed. Use water to clean the dust.

The drum also need to be cleaned by water.

Cleaned! Mark the adjuster before you adjust the hand brake level. Adjust and test the clearance between  drum and brake until  you get the maximum level before the drum is locked. The left rear brake drum can be serviced with the same steps. Test the hand brake after both are cleaned. Three steps or 'tap' sound shall be fine.

  2. Kalau gigi bawah ke kiri... maksudnya.. kita ketatkan lagi atau hampirkan lagi brake shoe dengan drum

  3. tma kac bro.. 2 2 belah kena sama level ke..? sbb brek keta sy ada sdkit problem la bro. kelisa auto. tiap kali membrek, dengar bunyi cengkaman kat sebla kanan belakang.. dulu pena jem.. jd mintak mekanik repair dan adjust handbrake.. tp belah kanan je yg d adjust.. sy rasa mcm xbalance ler cengkamannya.. kuat kat sebla kanan.. dan bbunyi tiap kali mbrek.. lagi kuat bila muatan rmai.. mggu bila jln jem.. time tu la ngek ngok ngek ngok bila brek.. apa pendapat bro..?

  4. 2 2 kena sama level... adjust dan test pusing drum.....
    Component system brake saling berkaitan... mungkin pump mungkin minyak brake atau master pump..... kalau ada budject boleh tukar semua sekali.. termasuk brake shoe..

  5. Tq bro.. dah adjust balik level tu.. tp gigi bawah tu tolak ke kiri la bro baru longgar.. ke kanan utk ketatkan tarikan handbrake.. stkt ni xde dah bunyi2 time brek.. apapun tq bro.. dpt idea dah cmna nak adjust.. blog ni sgt membantu..

  6. Salam bro.. nk tyer level tu sepatutnye sebelah depan ke blkg? smlm sy service brake mekanik ckp sepatutnye blkg.. dia ubah level tu kebelakang.. dia ckp org lama tukar pad slah pasang.. tlg info sket yg mna betol.. skrsng kete sy level sebelah blkg.. bukan depan.. Tp test pusing tyar xde jam

    baru tukar mcm2 kt kelisa saya. engine mounting (tiga2), spark plug, minyak hitam, oil filter, minyak gearbox, gasket kt engine (kate mechanic, yg belah atas je yg leak sket, bawah ok) dan yg plg berkaitan dgn post ni adalah rear brake pad.
    Masalahnya, bila nk jalan (kereta manual tranny), vibrate lebih sket dr biasa. bila laju x de dh vibrate. Saya suspect parking brake (rear brake kan? btulkan kalau salah) mechanic x adjust btul. Tp yg buat saya confuse, kenapa time idle (x jalan, handbrake released) pun boleh vibrate. mintak bg pendapat.

Salam bro.engine kelisa saya tiba tiba mati semasa sedang memandu..masaalah saya sampai Sekarang engine x nak hidup.minyak ada timing belt x putus.spak plag 3 xde api.jika kereta proton dah tentu DISTRIBUTOR rosak.APA masaalah kereta saya ni yg perlu perlu dibaiki...Tolong selesaikan masaalah ni ..T.Q
